i much prefer the faster version of Don't Pass Me By on mono. But there's not much I'd change on the White Album. Rocky Racoon , i prefer the anthology shorter version without McCartney's faux accent. I think Giles Martin's remix is now my overall go to. Nice vid 😀

I don’t have any versions of this album, but my copy is the Capitol US release from 1967 and it was the original stereo mix, and it sounds phenomenal than the later mixes.

I also bought The Beatles in Mono set too because the Vinyl mono set is way expensive. I also like the LP replicas in that set as well!

I bought the US Albums box set to put the CDs from my Capitol Albums box sets inside that set because the LP replicas are great in the US Albums box set.

Red Rose Speedway is indeed an underrated album. London Town not so much. Apart from the gorgeous "With a Little Luck" and some other interesting tunes such as "Morse Moose and the Grey Goose" London Town is underwhelming.

A bit late in chiming but my UK Blue Box sounds amazing. I do the majority of my Beatles listening of the CD box from the same files apparently. I’m more than happy with the sound of those recordings. I also have still sealed both Stereo and Mono boxes but those are a collector’s delusional investment. Nice, unpretentious vid. Thanks!

The problem with London Town is it's bad sound quality. I think with a good remaster or remix it will shine bright. I own the LP and CD from 1993, both sound so bad. Listening to the Singles Box, where some songs from London Town are remastered it did not really improve.

Damn, on those pics are the grey stereo versions. i happen to own the original yellow mono version. maybe ten years ago, i had a big tape fascination period, allong with experimenting with delay and stuff. I found one of those for maybe a hundred pounds (+shipping from uk to france), i love the preamp as a preamp, and the look is so nice, but i didnt think those were ever used by "big names" (allthough they are great quality and have a very "rock" sound if boosted for recordings, imo). i have a feeling it must not be that easy in 2024 to find those for that kind of price, i got mine in perfect condition, i should give a good heavy clean to the beige tolex one day but it works and sounds like a charm... Very interesting mate, thx... i'm gonna have to try to do some of that "less paul style" track stacking one day; if i do it i'll defo send a link in comment on this channel. Oh, another thing i noticed is the motors stability for the time and technology of the time, i tryed uher units from at least a decade after that were'nt as stable, i think that might be one of the reasons (allong with that powerfull preamps that is so good to harmonics) these might of been revered by our first "homestudits", but if paul had a few, i think he might of been "syncronising" them for multi tracking (thus the importance of motor stability). When we know that the flanger effect was created allong these times and geezers, maybe those brennels were the first units used for flanging aswell. i have an old ampex 600b i need to refurbish, i't's mono and on it is a hand made tag sticker saying "dubber one", these were made a bit later, but were used for the exact same purpose, but within the professional studio.... nice living room btw, i love the vintage touch, one day i'd love to build hifi furniture like thew old bl;aupunkt units (the jamaicans call it the the blues spot, it was used as the sound system in living room weelk end sessions... Am i talking to much? lol...

What’s the one with Ringo and Paul on the cover

Both mono and stereo boxes are only suitable for listening and replacing with new ones. They have no real collectible value and are not at all similar to the first presses. I don't understand who is raising the prices on them. Ordinary consumer goods, not the Grail. The images are blurry, the cardboard is slightly glossy and bears little resemblance to the chic laminate of the old days. At the same time, it also seems to be a little sticky. Only books are good. I have this shit, but at starting prices. I would never forgive myself for buying this garbage at the current fantastic prices. Yes, it's new, strong, acceptable, sealed... junk - in an oversized box. This is why I don't recommend buying vinyl boxes. It's better to spend money on the individual albums you need. But it's even better to find old records in good condition.

I got a 1st press mono handed down from my mum. Shockingly good condition (compared to my dad's donations). Always have to turn the amp down from the previous record as it's pressed so loud, meaning any surface noise, pops and ticks are a lot quieter than the music Absolusely stonking record that i'll never get rid of

These ladies haven't gotten enough credit & fame. "The Hammond Song" is one of the most fabulous pieces of music that I've ever heard. (I'm 81 and have listened to everything since Elvis and Jerry Lee)

Call me weird as I like to put the recordings in order by the date they were recorded. Not separating them by artist, but by song. Like `973, Songs from Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert, the final mixes for George's Living in the Material World, what Paul recorded, Ringo sessions, Ravi Shankar (Because George had a hand in Production and playing on it), Cheech Y Chong's "Basketball Jones", John Lennon's demos recorded in May and so forth. But to get back with what I am writing this about is the Glitch in sound on the "Ram" album. On the Fourth Track for the song "Ram On" there is a glitch in the song 1:56 in copies produced in other countries. Such as in England, Australia and Japan. But the Glitch does not appear on American releases on LP, CD and the DCC. But they do appear on British and Japanese releases. Hopefully that will help you.

Is that an authentic copy of Introducing The Beatles, cause if so, then that’s awesome. When I get enough money I hope to get an authentic copy of that album too.

It's getting ridiculous. I bought the most uncollectable pressings of the most classic 60s/70s albums in the most stripped down album covers with no lyric sheets or posters and they sounded fine.

Hello Brian. Enjoyed your video. Regarding you asking about Wings At The Speed Of Sound. It was released here in the UK on EMI/Parlophone PAS 10010 on March 26th, 1976. When the Beatles' contract with EMI expired around this time, Paul re-signed with EMI for the UK and the rest of the World and with Columbia for the US and Canada (I think?). The prefix PAS on the catalogue number for this album is for Parlophone but doesn't state it being on Parlophone on the label. This was the same on the labels of the 2 singles released from the album in the UK. Both 'Silly Love Songs' and 'Let 'Em In' labels have the single catalogue numbers (R 6014 and R 6015 - Parlophone catalogue numbers) but no mention of Parlophone on the labels. Hope all this makes sense? Cheers.

4:40 Because the UK LP omitted 'Helen Wheels,' the single was in greater demand & rare by the time I went looking for it in 1980. It took about 2 years to find the 45 in UK, even though I regularly visited around 30 2nd hand record shops. Of course like a fool I said Farewell to my singles a decade later. Unless you've ever gone & sold yr record collection in a deranged moment, friends & neighbors, ain't nobody else gonna know the way it feels. 'And they're never gonna take 'em away" is yr best policy.
